Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Application Engineer to join our team on-site in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing hardware and firmware for our innovative CMOS-based solutions. Daily tasks include debugging hardware, collaborating with hardware engineers, implementing reference designs, writing application notes and supporting customers. You will also contribute to improving performance and functionality to support high-speed data transmission over copper and optical interconnects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with high-speed (>25 GHz) analog physical layer ICs
  • Experience with board design for >25GHz applications, including debugging and troubleshooting
  • Experience with DCA, BERT, VNA

We are seeking a full-time Firmware Engineer to join our team on-site in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded software for our innovative CMOS-based solutions. Daily tasks include debugging software, collaborating with hardware engineers, implementing firmware based on ARM-based MCU and supporting customers. You will also contribute to improving performance and functionality to support high-speed data transmission and efficient AI integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience in developing firmware for embedded systems, including debugging and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python (including Numpy and Matplotlib Python libraries)
  • Familiarity with MCU architectures, particularly MCUs in the STM32 family
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, GPIO, I2C, TCP/IP

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Silicon Validation Engineer to join our team on-site in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for characterizing next-generation high-speed interconnect ICs used in AI compute platforms and datacenters. Daily tasks include developing test methodologies, debugging evaluation hardware, performing signal integrity validation, and supporting customers integrating our devices into their systems. You will also contribute to improving product performance, ensuring customer success, and strengthening the overall technical credibility of the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience performing high‑speed electrical measurements using VNAs, oscilloscopes, BERTs, and other RF/SI instrumentation
  • Proficiency in device bring‑up, functional testing, and performance characterization across PVT conditions
  • Familiarity with developing automated test scripts and measurement flows using scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Ability to debug evaluation boards, reference designs, and signal integrity issues at the board and system level
  • Knowledge of S‑parameter analysis, eye diagrams, jitter, insertion/return loss, and other high‑speed metrics
  • Experience collaborating with design, packaging, qualification, and SI teams to correlate lab results with simulations and models
  • Knowledge of PCB layout, signal integrity best practices, power integrity considerations, and system-level design
  • Experience reproducing customer issues in the lab and driving root-cause analysis and resolution
  • Ability to create technical documentation such as application notes, reference designs, and test guides
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IC design, product, packaging, and firmware teams to define test requirements and interpret results
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers
  • Experience participating in design reviews, test plan creation, and product qualification efforts

Compensation

Role Description

This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role with end-to-end ownership of the signal integrity (SI) lifecycle for next-generation high-speed hardware—from initial architecture and simulation through lab validation and production. You will serve as a subject matter expert bridging silicon, package, and PCB design, ensuring robust performance for the world’s most demanding data center, networking, and AI/ML compute environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own SI/PI design guidelines for next-generation hardware platforms, with a focus on high-density I/O on PCBs, advanced packages, connectors, and OSFP test modules.
  • Execute complex 2D/3D electromagnetic simulations to characterize reflections, bandwidth, and crosstalk; cascade component models (Touchstone/S-parameter) into complete system-level models.
  • Design (schematic, layout) and oversee multilayer PCB assemblies for high-speed optical hardware, spanning power delivery, signal routing, and connector/interface selection.
  • Lead lab verification and debug using high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, VNAs, and BERTs; develop custom test fixtures and probing solutions to resolve complex SI issues.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to optimize cost-vs-performance trade-offs while driving layout sign-off and tape-out success.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for key customers and silicon partners, aligning product roadmaps with emerging technology trends and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electromagnetic Theory (Ph.D. a plus).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in SI design, simulation, and hardware evaluation.
  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard simulation tools, including ANSYS HFSS, SIwave, Altium, and/or Allegro.
  • Deep expertise in high-speed signal integrity, impedance control, and interface transitions.
  • Strong background in IC package and substrate design.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate lab instrumentation and independently debug complex signal integrity problems at the board and system level.
